Tabi Note is an independent guide to traveling in Japan. We turn information published by Japan's official tourism organizations, transport operators and local tourism associations into practical, easy-to-read guides, adding the details that matter when you fly in from abroad.

How we write

• Official sources first: fares, opening hours and event dates are checked against official tourism, railway and operator websites.
• Sources and update dates: every guide lists its sources and shows when it was last updated; time-sensitive information is re-checked regularly.
• Ads stay separate from content: Google ads help cover our costs and never influence what we write or recommend. There is no paid placement; any future partnership will be clearly labeled at the top of the article.
